... meanwhile ... several timezones away ...
People are arguing over which warlord to hail as a savior and as the only hope for a tiny nation.
... I guess we still have a long way to go before those at the top can be held accountable ...

I have either missed your point or you have missed mine lol. I was trying to say that during the same time period when the US had five living presidents Syria had one, Egypt had one, Yemen had one ...
