'Tis a loss ...

Joseph Samaha has left assafir ... thanks to H. for bringing this directly to my attention.


جوزف سماحة يغادر السفير


غادر الزميل جوزف سماحة، بهدوء، <<السفير>>، التي بدأ فيها ومعها حياته المهنية فأعطته وأعطاها وهو يتدرّج تقدماً، على ثلاث مراحل، حتى تسلم رئاسة تحريرها. و<<السفير>> التي تقدّر في الزميل جوزف سماحة كفاءته تتمنى له التوفيق في رحلته الجديدة نحو تحقيق <<أحلامه المهنية>>، وهي تواصل مسيرتها بخطها ونهجها وكل ما قرّبها من قرائها على امتداد اثنتين وثلاثين سنة من عمرها.ا

  • Its a blow to AL-Safir to lose Joseph Smaha and Ibrahim Al Amin in such a short period of time. Did Smaha leave for the same reasons Al Amin left,i.e under duress? Can Al-Safir manage this loss?

  • i think he'll probably join el amine, but we'll know soon enough. did he leave under duress? maybe. there have been rumors of him leaving. but i wonder if it was as bad as what el-amine was put under.

  • Any updates on this? Anyone knows if Joseph Smaha and Ibrahim El-Amin are joining efforts in a new newspaper? and if yes, which one, and who is sponsoring it?
