Economic Freedom of the Arab World

This was released just over a week ago. According to the study, Lebanon and Oman are the "most economically free nations in the Arab World". It adds the year 2003 to its analysis.

You can read the report here (PDF). It divides the rankings into several areas:

Area 1: Size of Government (Expenditures, Taxes, Enterprises):
- Lebanon Ranked 1

Area 2: Legal Structure and Security of Property Rights:
- Lebanon Ranked 13

Area 3: Access to Sound Money:
- Lebanon Ranked 1

Area 4: Freedom to trade internationally:
- Lebanon Ranked 6

Area 5: Regulation of Credit, Labor, and Business:
- Lebanon Ranked 3
